Katie Stout (b. 1989, Portland, Maine) is a designer based in New York state. She received her BFA in furniture design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2012. Stout’s work is included in the permanent collections of institutions such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the RISD Museum. She has exhibited internationally, with major exhibitions at the Venice Biennale, Jeffrey Deitch (New York and Los Angeles), Nina Johnson (Miami), and Dallas Contemporary. In 2015, she was the winner of the first season of Ellen’s Design Challenge.
